It's Truman Days! The one weekend every year when Jackson County Democrats get together to drink, eat, schmooze, celebrate our victories and salve our wounds en masse...the one weekend a year when we defy Will Rogers, who famously said "I belong to no organized political party. I'm a Democrat." The lone weekend out of them all when we get our ducks in a row and the backs of our fellow Democrats. Perhaps most noteworthy of all, it is the one weekend of the year when Claire and I can be in the same room and neither of us takes the olive branch and beats the other one senseless with it.
Between Yellow Dog celebrating the Derby and Michael and me reveling with our brethren, we may not get a whole hell of a lot of blogging done this weekend, but what the hell? We'll have material for fresh, original content!
