Henry Waxman, Chairman of the powerful House Energy and Commerce Committee, seems to have had quite enough and has lost interest in even pretending to play nice with the republican morons who have decided to go all in and bet on failure, and so have set about trying to assure it by sabotaging and undermining every campaign promise that President Obama attempts to keep.
Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.), who has had an eventful couple of weeks to say the least, believes House Republican opposition to climate change legislation and the stimulus indicates they're cheering against the good ol' US of A.
"It appears that the Republican Party leadership in the Congress has made a decision that they want to deny President Obama success, which means, in my mind, they are rooting against the country, as well," the powerful House Energy and Commerce Committee chairman told WAMU radio host Diane Rehm on Tuesday morning, promoting his new book, "The Waxman Report."
That orange fellow from Ohio - Boehner, I believe his name is - immediately had a hissy fit and demanded an apology from Waxman for having the audacity to call Die Partei Keine! on their obstructionist crap.
"That is an outrageous statement, and obviously Chairman Waxman owes the American people an apology," Steel wrote in an e-mail to POLITICO.
"Frankly, this sort of irresponsible rhetoric smacks of desperation from a chairman who just forced members of his own party to walk the plank on an unpopular national energy tax and is having trouble convincing them to do it again on a government takeover of health care," he added.
This would be the same Boehner who was caught lying on Faux Noise last Sunday when he said no stimulus projects are at work in Ohio.
It would behoove you to remember that isn't about what is best for Americans for bitter, petty, sore-loser idiots like Boehner. It is about the GOP returning to power by any means necessary, and they don't care how much you have to suffer, it is worth it if they return to power. They will sacrifice every last drop of your blood, sweat and tears to return them to their rightful place running the show - they just aren't willing to saccrifice any of their own.
What Boehner really doesn't like is that Waxman has the balls to call him and the rest of the republican base on their petty bullshit. |
