| Out of context, raising $302,990 in three months more than year before a Senate race is nothing to be ashamed of.
But when that's $120,000 less than what you raised in the previous quarter, and when your primary opponent raised more than four times as much as you did, and when your campaign has been disparaging your opponent for his inability to raise funds, then - how to put this? -
$300K is unbelievably fucking pathetic.
But the anemic $300k figure isn't the real story here. The cash-on-hand is the real eye opener to the absolutely failure of Mongiardo so far.
After the 1st quarter, Mongiardo had $388,500 cash-on-hand. A month later, he has only $485,866. So after 3 months of embarrassment, Lt. Dan hasn't even increased his money by $100k.
This is beyond pathetic. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this essentially means that he spent TWICE the amount that he collected net over this period. 11 MONTHS BEFORE THE PRIMARY.
I can't even get into the schadenfreude aspect of this, because my head is still spinning from this incompetence.
