Who cares?
Not me.
I don't care who Obama picks for his cabinet. I don't care if person x or person y has a long history of being on this side of an issue or that side of an issue--if things work the way that they are supposed to work, that person will follow the direction of the President. If not, they'll be fired.
What I want to see is accountability. If person x or person y are incompetent fucks, I want them fired. I want a reality-based government that fires the incompetents, the fuckups and the charlatans and gets something done. Don't show me how you make your hot dogs and sausage, just make them tasty and in abundance for all.
God, that was the wrong metaphor.
Anyway--I don't care. I don't. Put competent people in there and get something done. Fix what is wrong. People are freaking out. People are out of work. People are hurting. Do something positive, even if that positive thing is little or nothing while the markets and the economy straightens itself out. Or revamp our major industries and turn us into a manufacturing country once again that can beat everyone else at making shit people have to have or want to buy.
I can't stand the purity trolls out there right now. My blog partner and I are pragmatic progressives, and I believe I speak for her and for the rest of y'all when I say, give us a government we can be proud of again. |
