About Us

Photobucket
This blog is written by a couple of liberal patriots who aren't quite as pissed off as they were a couple of years ago, but aren't taking anything for granted, either. We share a fierce dedication to the Constitution - the only words ever put to paper worth dying for, and we'll argue it's finer liberal points with anyone.

We exist to remind y'all that America was founded on four boxes:
  • The Soapbox
  • The Ballot Box
  • The Jury Box
  • The Ammo Box
They should be used in that order. This is our soapbox.

Murdoch despises O'Reilly  I guess we know what he is, and now he is just negotiating the price?   He hates the "bullying" and expressed loathing for the blowhard and even admitted that he is at times "embarrassed" by his ownership of Fox News.  The revelations come to light in Michael Wolff's new book The Man Who Owns the News.

Telling    A new poll from Rasmussen Reports indicates that although Americans strongly support the saying of the Pledge of Allegience, less than half of them believe that "the United States is truly the land of liberty and justice for all."  Among those polled, just 46% said they would agree with that statement, while 42% disagreed. Even among white voters, less than half, just 49%, agreed that there is justice for all in America.

At least this wingnut isn't from Missouri...but we do share a few miles of river border with Kentucky, so some will undoubtedly say "close enough."   Kentucky State Rep. Tom Riner, a Southern Baptist minister who helped establish a requirement that the federally funded agency credit God with keeping the state safe, is upset that under Gov. Steve Beshear, the department's 2008 annual report did not do so.  "We certainly expect it to be there, of course," Riner, of Louisville, told the Lexington Herald-Leader.

The election of Obama is absolutely killing Zawahiri  and I am enjoying watching him flounder as the image of America elevates world wide, thus weakening the market share of al Qa'eda.  Keep talking, Putz.  Keep talking.

This Week in God is back!  Our friend Steve revived it after the election, much to my relief.  I had been feeling like something was missing from my Saturday mornings for a few months, ever since he migrated to WaMo and archived the Carpetbagger...
