I just got this blurb off the Federal News Radio wire a few minutes ago. The federal jury in the David Safavian retrial has reached a verdict after two days of deliberations and convicted him for a second time of obstruction and making false statements to an investigator. The initial conviction was overturned on appeal.
Safavian, the former chief of staff of the General Services Administration, is the only person caught in the Abramoff briar patch to take his case to trial; everyone else copped a plea, including the disgraced lobbyist Abramoff himself.
I go back a few years with Dan, and he has always come through for me like a champ. I honestly can't say enough good things about him or his business. --BG
